In the competition among 16 schools, the top 10 are eligible to receive some funding for their project.
Bowie State’s planned renovation will create a welcoming learning space where students can participate in tutoring sessions and group projects and receive academic support. The space will provide needed resources at the far end of the campus for students who frequently visit the James Complex and students in the nearby residence halls.
The project includes installation of the latest technology for academic support and learning including computers, monitors, smart boards, digital screens and printers, along with furnishings conducive for collaboration.
