Cheyenne Sander Named Lincoln Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Cheyenne Sander has been named the head strength & conditioning coach for the Lincoln University Department of Athletics. Sander, who has experience working with NCAA Division I athletes from a wide variety of sports, will oversee the strength and conditioning training for all 14 of Lincoln’s athletic programs.
Sander began her career in sports performance as a student intern at Southeast Missouri State from 2020-23, where she was directly involved with every aspect of training for the program’s Division I football team. Sander also assisted with strength training and conditioning for the Redhawk men’s and women’s basketball, softball and soccer teams.
After graduating from Southeast Missouri State, Sander did a summer internship at the University of North Carolina, leading the volleyball team through the first three weeks of its preseason workouts. She also worked with athletes from UNC’s men’s and women’s basketball, swimming, wrestling, gymnastics and tennis programs.
From 2023-24, Sander was a graduate assistant at South Carolina Upstate where she created curriculum for and led the strength & conditioning staff’s internship program. Sander worked directly with the school’s volleyball and men’s and women’s golf teams and helped track date for the men’s basketball program. Sander also did an internship at Division I Wofford where she specifically worked with the football team.
Sander holds a bachelor’s degree in health management exercise science from Southeast Missouri State University and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of South Carolina Upstate.
