Tia Brown went 6-6 at the plate vs. Delaware State University. In game 1 she went 2 for 2 while recording 4 strike outs in 5 innings. In game 2 she went 4 for 4 with scoring 2 runs.
#3 Cydney Cooper, Claflin
(So., SS- Columbia, S.C.)
Cooper had an outstanding day fielding at Short Stop and assisted with 7 putouts.
#8 Ailani Brown, Livingstone
(Fr., P- Los Angeles, CA)
Freshman Ailani Brown had the best pitching performance of her young career against Allen (S.C.) earlier last week. She threw a complete game shutout, only allowing three total hits while earning six strikeouts.
#12 Presleigh Braxton, Bowie State
(Fr., OF – Charlottesville, VA)
Presleigh went 3 of 6 from the plate against a good West Liberty team on Thursday. Braxton also tacked on one run scored but her best game of the week was during the second match-up with West Liberty, she went 2 of 3 from the plate (.293) and totaled two putouts for a fielding percentage of 1.000.
