FOOD LION MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#4 Jaylen Alston, Winston-Salem State 
(Sr., Guard- Gibsonville, N.C.)
Jaylen had another amazing week for the Rams helping them go 2-0 for the week, including scoring a career-high 35 points in a victory over Fayetteville State, then later in the week helping his team win the NBA HBCU Classic over Virginia Union with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds and three steals. Against FSU he also recorded seven rebounds, one block and two steals and shot 17-of-18 from the free throw line and 9-of-10 from the field.

#3 Damerius Wash, Claflin 
(Jr., Guard- Canton, MS)

Damerius has been phenomenal this week. He nearly pulled off two double-doubles this week and helped the Panthers gain a pair of key CIAA Southern Division wins.  He opened the week with seven points and 10 rebounds at Shaw and he added nine points with nine rebounds against Saint Augustine’s. He also finished the week with four steals, including three at Shaw and he added a steal and a block against Saint Augustine’s.

#15 Kevon Corley, Bowie State 

(Fr., Forward- Glenarden, MD)  

Scored 16 points in Bowie States win over Virginia Union and 11 points in the Bulldogs win over Bluefield State to go along with six rebounds and a block!
FOOD LION WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#0 Lauren Scott, Claflin 
(Jr., Guard- Columbia, S.C.)
Lauren had a HUGE week for the Lady Panthers. She scored a team-high 26 points, including the game-winning three-pointer at Shaw and she added 19 points to lead the team to a win over Saint Augustine’s. She also had 10 rebounds and four steals at Shaw along with a steal and three rebounds against Saint Augustine’s. 
FOOD LION WOMEN’S DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#55 Shalance Montoya, Bluefield State
(Jr., Center- Carlsbad, NM)
In the first game of the week Against VSU, Shalance started strong by demonstrating her dominance on the floor. She secured 5 rebounds, scored 10 points and went 4-4 from the charity strip. 
 

She continued to excel in versus Bowie State on Feb 17. Shalance impressively secured 20 rebounds, establishing her position in the paint! At one point during the game, Shalance was averaging a rebound per min securing 13 rebounds in just a little over 13 mins into the first half. She also displayed her offensive skills by adding 14 points to help the Big Blue with the victory. 
FOOD LION WOMEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
#22 Nielle Reaves, Livingstone 
(Fr., Guard- New Haven, CT)
Nielle continues to produce in her recent uptick in playing time. In two games this week, she averaged 13.5 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. She accomplished the first double-double of her career against St. Augustine’s with 13 points and 10 rebounds. On the defensive side, she contributed 3 blocks and a steal as well.
