FOOD LION MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Matthew Blackmon, Livingstone
(Jr. – Melbourne, FL)
Blackmon competed in the Lenoir Rhyne Open and placed 1st in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.55. His time is .11 seconds from NCAA qualifying. He is currently ranked 1st In the CIAA and the Atlantic Region. 
FOOD LION MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jocolbi Morgan, Claflin
(Jr. – Saint Petersburg, Florida) 
Jocolbi had a great showing this weekend. He hit an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark of 48’2.75″ (14.70m) to place fourth in the men’s triple jump. He also placed seventh in the men’s long jump with a 23’8.75″ (7.23m) jump. Both marks lead the CIAA in their respective events. 
FOOD LION WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Brianna Benloss, Winston-Salem State 
(Fr. – Charlotte, N.C.)
Brianna had a great opening weekend for the Rams competing in three events at the Bob Hayes Invitational. She ran in the 100m dash finishing in second place with a time of 11.98. She then captured second place in the 200m dash running a time of 24.55. She also was a part of the 4×100 team that finished in third place with a time 46.37.
FOOD LION WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Yassine Kamara, Bowie State 
(Sr. – Hyattsville, MD)
Yassine won both the shot put (13.33m) and the discus (42.51m) at the Dam Stimson Memorial Invitational for the Bulldogs season opener.
