CIAA Cross Country Week Two Performers of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) has announced the week two Food Lion Cross Country Performers of the Week, recognizing outstanding performances from across the conference.

Name: Franklin Kipchirchir
Class: Sophomore
Institution: Fayetteville State
Hometown: Kapsabet, Kenya

Franklin Kipchirchir delivered a standout performance at the Queen City Invitational on Friday, placing sixth overall in a highly competitive field that featured NCAA Division I and II programs. Kipchirchir clocked a time of 24:26.0 in the men’s 8K race, leading Fayetteville State to a fifth-place team finish with 191 points.

Class: Freshman
Institution: Winston-Salem State
Hometown: Atco, N.J.

Ava had another great week for the Rams; she led the way with the top performance for the Rams finishing in sixth place overall 20:08.0 at the Pfeiffer XC Invitational. She had the top DII time in the meet.
