Dr. Jacqueline Hill Joins Florida Memorial University (FMU) as Dean of the School of Education and Associate Provost for Continuing Education and Professional
July 23, 2020, Miami Gardens, FL- Dr. Hill previously served as Associate Provost of Academic Affairs for Miami Dade College. In this role, she provided leadership and administrative oversight of academic programs and strategic initiatives for academic partnerships, student success, and academic compliance. Dr. Hill has also served as Senior Academic Officer for nonprofit organizations striving for positive youth development, college and workforce readiness, and career explorations for underserved youth. She is often described as a strategic facilitator for innovations. Dr. Hill has been in academic leadership since 1990 serving in various leadership roles in higher education. Over her 29 years of experience, she has served as Dean of Education, Associate Dean for Outcome Assessments and Compliance, Associate Professor of Education, Science District Director, and Public Health Educator. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Administration and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Memphis and a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Leadership from Vanderbilt University.
She has extensive experience with developing academic programs, curriculum, educational plans, and assessments for over 400 undergraduate and graduate programs. In order to support faculty productivity and innovations, Dr. Hill has served as a mentor and has conducted courses in educational research, curriculum development, instructional leadership, biological sciences, educational leadership; and organizational development. She has served as a research mentor and facilitated research projects resulting in academic restructuring and innovative practices. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta and native of Tennessee.
