JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Four members of the Lincoln men’s indoor track & field team and four from the LU women’s team earned all-region recognition from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. 

The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team.

The four members comprising the Lincoln men’s 4x400m relay team were honored, including Reuben Nichols, Leondre Francis, Shanthamoi Brown and Emmanuel Rwotomiya. Individually, Nichols and Francis were recognized for their performances in the 400m dash.

The Lincoln women’s 4x400m relay team also had each of its members earn all-region status, including Shantae George, Shevanae Thomas, Shaneal Clarke Giddings and Odeshia Nanton. George, meanwhile, earned an individual all-region award in the 60m dash.

Both Blue Tiger track & field teams will be in Pittsburg, Kan. to compete in the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday (March 8-9).
