Fisk University promotes Jens Frederiksen to Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Enrollment.
Fisk University, the oldest institution of higher learning in Nashville TN, today announced the promotion of Dr. Jens Frederiksen to Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Enrollment. In this role Dr. Frederiksen’s responsibilities include university fundraising, enrollment management, corporate relations and career development.
“Jens has more than proven his worth to Fisk University and we believe he has much more to contribute to our success,” said President Kevin. D. Rome.
Dr. Frederiksen assumed the role of Vice President of Institutional Advancement in 2016 and since then fundraising has increased dramatically year over year culminating in a $10,700,000 record total last fiscal year. During this time, alumni giving participation has also risen from the 21% to near 35%. Dr. Frederiksen has helped land multiple key federal grants and was critical in securing the largest incoming class in over a decade.

Dr. Frederiksen received his undergraduate degrees in economics, political science, history and philosophy from Vanderbilt University – He also received a Masters degree in social and political thought before completing his Masters and PhD in political science all from Vanderbilt University.
