Lincoln Women Ranked No. 18 in the Country

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Lincoln women’s outdoor track & field team is the No. 18 program in the country according the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II rankings, released on Tuesday (April 18).

The Blue Tigers collected 61.09 points to earn the No. 18 ranking, and are one of six MIAA programs in the national top-25. Lincoln is ranked one spot ahead of No. 19 Central Missouri, which received 58.99 points. Northwest Missouri is ranked No. 6 with 120.18 points, and Missouri Southern garnered 103.69 points to check in at No. 8. Pittsburg State is No. 10 with 95.69 points, and Fort Hays State is rated No. 13 with 75.85 points.

Leading the national ratings this week is West Texas A&M (288.92 points), and Grand Valley State (269.92) and Azusa Pacific (243.76) round out the top-three. Minnesota State (194.22) is ranked No. 4 while Adams State (152.76) is No. 5.

Lincoln will be in Columbus, Ohio this weekend for the Jesse Owens Classic, hosted by The Ohio State University on Friday and Saturday (April 21-22).
