Lincoln’s Shoemaker Finishes as the Runner-Up at The Mule
WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Lincoln’s Austin Shoemaker tied for second overall and led the Lincoln men’s golf team to a 12th-place finish at The Mule, hosted by the University of Central Missouri on Monday and Tuesday (April 3-4) at Mules National Golf Club.
Shoemaker shot below 70 in each of the final two rounds. He closed the three-round tournament with a 69 on Tuesday after posting a 68 during the second round on Monday. Shoemaker, who opened The Mule with a 72, finished with a three-round total of 209.
Henry Mwanza shot a 223 for LU’s next-lowest total, as he tied for 39th with scores of 71, 71 and 80. Dedrick Harris II, meanwhile, shot a 74 in the opening round, a 71 in the second and an 80 in the third to tie for 50th with a sum of 225.
Remon Rabie closed the scoring with a 227, as he shot scores of 72, 73 and 82. Also representing LU was Logen Prock, who had a final score of 251 with 18-hole totals of 80, 83 and 88.
Up next for the Blue Tigers is the MIAA Championship tournament, which will be played at Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar, Mo. on April 17, April 18 and April 19.
