The intent is for the entire Frankfort community — young and old, professional and amateur alike — to find courses that appeal to them for personal development and professional growth.

The Institute will offer courses for teachers and social workers who want to engage in continued education training credits even as it offers personal development skills in courses including wine tasting.

Courses will be offered throughout the calendar year and will vary from three-weekend workshops to six-week seminars.

“These classes are fresh, new, original, and fun,” says Associate Provost Dr. Lorna Shaw-Berbick who organized and developed The Institute. “The Institute also will help high school students who would like extra help in Spanish, writing, math, or professionals in need of continuing education units may register right now.” The Institute invites individuals interested in completing their GED or their college degree.

The Institute for Lifelong Learning will continue to open additional offerings as the semester progresses and the public is invited to visit the website http://kysu.edu/ifll/  or call 502-597-6429 or 502-597-5803 for information and assistance.
