President Young Delivers State of the University Address During Faculty Staff Institute

President Lesia L. Crumpton-Young kicked off the spring semester with the State of the University address during the Spring Faculty Staff Institute.She outlined the University’s many accomplishments of 2022. Among those accomplishments are:
Exceeded all 2022 Board targets for enrollment, freshman housing, and career placementCreated the first College of Transdisciplinary Studies with 12 new degree programs.Creation of the Center for Transformative Health with the City of HoustonImplemented innovative initiatives to enhance student retention and matriculationSubmitted Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR) for $986,310,898Significant increase in research external funding and scholarly initiativesNASA HBCU/MSI Technology Infusion Road TourEstablished Recruitment Center in Arlington, Tx.Launched #TSU95 and the TSU95 Giving Circle, which has nearly 400 membersSWAC Academic Success AwardLaunched new software to drastically reduce student financial aid processTo read all of the highlights from the State of the University, click here.
