REYNOLDS SNAGS FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK AWARD

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced its Volleyball Players of the Week on Monday afternoon and freshman middle blocker Genevieve Reynolds was named Freshman of the Week.

Reynolds posted a .333 hitting percentage, 25 kills, 11.0 blocks and 31.0 points in three matches for the Lady Pirates at the Bucknell Invitational.  She posted nine kills and a .333 hitting clip in a five-set loss to Saint Peter’s, tallied eight kills, a .294 percentage and four blocks in a five-set win over St. Francis-Brooklyn. She finished her weekend with eight kills, .375 percentage and five blocks in a five-set defeat to Siena.

Hampton returns home for an exhibition match against Old Dominion University on Tuesday night at 6 pm before heading to the UMES Invitational this coming weekend in Princess Anne, Md.
