Shaw Divinity Postpones 47th Annual Alexander/Pegues Ministers’ Conference

Raleigh, NC — (March 17, 2020) – The Shaw University School of Divinity today announced the postponement of the 47th annual Alexander/Pegues Ministers’ Conference due to concerns about COVID-19. Originally scheduled for April 1-3, 2020, the new date for this highly anticipated annual conference has not yet been determined. According to Dr. Johnny B. Hill, dean of the Shaw University School of Divinity, the most likely time will be Fall 2020.

Every year, the Conference brings together national faith leaders to discuss the intersectionality between spirituality and social justice. The diverse group of prominent conference speakers and presenters for 2020 had included Rev. Dr. Jazz Scurlark; Bishop Sir Walter Mack; Jr., Rev. Mark T. Gibson; Dr. Leslie D. Callahan; Rev. Emmett L. Dunn; Dr. Kimberly Moore; Dr. John Mendez; Dr. Wayne E. Croft; Sr., Dr. Gregory K. Moss; State Senator Erica Smith Ingram; Hoke Co. Commissioner Allen Thomas; and Bishop Marvin L. Sapp.
