Urban Land Institute will help assess potential for strategic urban development, leveraging location & resources
Raleigh, NC — (November 6, 2019) – Shaw University has engaged the Urban Land Institute (ULI) to assess the potential effect of a more strategic program of urban development and to explore opportunities to leverage Shaw’s location at the juncture of downtown and Southeast Raleigh. Beginning Monday, November 11, 2019, ULI will conduct a week-long series of activities that will include interviews with individuals from the local community who bring particular knowledge to and will help assess the issues. ULI is the world’s largest network of real estate and land use experts, and its stated purpose is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide.

The public is invited to the Sponsor Reception on Monday, November 11, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. and to the Final Presentation on Friday, November 15, 2019. Both events will be held in Estey Hall Auditorium on Shaw University’s campus, 118 E. South Street, Raleigh, NC.

Due to limited parking on campus, guests planning to attend either event should park in the “Shaw Beach” and Security lots off of Blount Street.
