Texas Southern University Holds Honors Day Convocation to Celebrate Academic Excellence and Achievement
Texas Southern University lauded 3,198 students for their outstanding academic achievements in 2022 during the annual Honors Day Convocation. Of those students, 37 were acknowledged individually for earning a 4.0 grade point average for both the spring and fall semesters.
The Honors Day Convocation is one of TSU’s most revered academic traditions. During the event, President Lesia L. Crumpton-Young recognized the most academically accomplished students during a ceremony that celebrated excellence and achievement. As in years past, students earned the right to be among those touting the privilege of being an honor student.
The keynote speaker was retired Thomas F. Freeman Honors College dean Dr. Dianne Jemison Pollard.
