The Marching 100 Welcomes 303 Students to the 2019 Summer Band Camp

The 2019 Marching “100” Summer Band Camp is well on its way with 303 middle and high school campers from across the country.  Of the campers, 298 are staying on campus while the others are rooming with friends or family.

Since January, students have been applying to one of the most sought-after band camps in the land.

Some of the most promising young musicians will learn from Marching “100” and area band leaders during the course of the camp. Campers’ days are filled with rehearsals, practices, downtime, and even a talent night.

Here are some events this week when the next generation of band musicians will be performing:

  • Band Camp Parade – Thursday, July 11 – 2 p.m. (Bragg Stadium to Lee Hall)
  • Symphonic Band Concert (Lee Hall) – Friday, July 12 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Half-time Show (Al Lawson Center) – Saturday, July 13 – 10 a.m.
