TSU Alumna Matches to Top Emergency Medicine Residency Program

TSU alumna Chastity Greene MD is getting ready to take a major step in her medical career. This aspiring emergency medicine physician will graduate from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon graduation she will begin her residency with Johns Hopkins Emergency Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Johns Hopkins was Dr. Greene’s top choice.

Greene graduated from TSU in 2015. She majored in biology and minored in chemistry. While at TSU, she was the president of Collegiate 100 Black Women, secretary of Tri Beta National Honor Society, and she was a member of the Gamma Psi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. Greene was also a Freeman Scholar in the Thomas F. Freeman Honors College. She credits TSU with introducing her to the field of medicine and exposing her to mentorship opportunities that helped get her on the path to achieve her dreams.
