AAMU’s Department of Career Development Services (CDS) held its Annual Fall Career Fair in the Event Center for the first time last week.
“We are thrilled to break another record for employer participation,” states AAMU CDS Director Yvette Clayton. “The larger venue allowed for a 23% increase in employer participation, from 133 employers last year to 164 this year. Students and employers loved the space!”
Thursday’s event was part of AAMU’s Fall Career Week, including a Virtual Career Fair, Resume Reviews, Speed Networking and Reception, a Graduate and Professional School Expo, and an Interview Day (by employer invitation).
“Employers commended the CDS team for the effort we put into preparing students for the career fair. From their attire to how they introduced themselves, our Bulldogs put their best paws forward. We also thank Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Braque Talley, and Director of Athletics, Dr. Paul A. Bryant, for allowing us to host the fair in the Event Center. Executive Director of University Events, Daryka Reeves, and her team provided phenomenal support,” adds Clayton.
