Alcorn State’s School of Nursing ranks No. 2 for Best Online Nurse Practitioner Program in Mississippi
Alcorn State University’s School of Nursing is ranked No. 2 in Mississippi in the 2025 Best Online Nurse Practitioner Programs by a national nursing advocacy organization.
“This achievement reflects our commitment to educational excellence, the dedication of our faculty, and the outstanding work of our students,” Dean Shirley Evers-Manly, Ph.D., said. “We are incredibly proud, as this recognition showcases our program’s exceptional clinical training, innovative curriculum, and strong support for student success.” She added that the honor further fulfills Alcorn’s mission to prepare “exceptional” nurse practitioners who make a meaningful difference in their communities every day.
RegisteredNursing.org highlighted Alcorn’s School of Nursing for offering students “hands-on clinical experience and a strong foundation in advanced nursing practice.”
The ranking is based on a comprehensive methodology evaluating various factors, including program quality, affordability, and graduate success rates.
