Jefferson City, MO- Lincoln University has received a grant in the amount of $225,000 from the AmerenCares program to the Annual Fund campaign. Funds from the grant will be used to support qualifying students with valuable scholarship dollars.

Their partnership supports students facing great economic challenges at our university and prepares them for the workforce.”

Students who are interested in obtaining scholarship funding should reside in the Ameren Missouri service area(s) and meet scholarship criteria. More information can be obtained through the Lincoln University Advancement Office at 573-681-6070.

In addition, $10,000 in grant funding was awarded to the Blue Tiger Emergency Fund. The fund provides aid to students who have experienced a financial hardship resulting from an emergency, accident, or other critical incident. Funds have supported technology and travel aide to students impacted by COVID-19 during the spring semester.

Each year, the AmerenCares program awards millions of dollars to support worthwhile initiatives in the following categories: Arts & Culture, Civic & Community, Environment, Health & Human Services, and Youth and Education. Funds for the program are generated exclusively by corporate earnings and not as a supplemental charge to Ameren customers.
