AMERENCARES SUPPORTS STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS AND EMERGENCY NEEDS

Jefferson City, MO- Lincoln University has received a grant in the amount of $225,000 from the AmerenCares program to the Annual Fund campaign. Funds from the grant will be used to support qualifying students with valuable scholarship dollars.

In addition, $10,000 in grant funding was awarded to the Blue Tiger Emergency Fund. The fund provides aid to students who have experienced a financial hardship resulting from an emergency, accident, or other critical incident. Funds have supported technology and travel aide to students impacted by COVID-19 during the spring semester.

Each year, the AmerenCares program awards millions of dollars to support worthwhile initiatives in the following categories: Arts & Culture, Civic & Community, Environment, Health & Human Services, and Youth and Education. Funds for the program are generated exclusively by corporate earnings and not as a supplemental charge to Ameren customers.
