BSU: Gospel Choir Gears Up for Winter Concert

Choir Director Latonya Wrenn Excited About Setting the Tone for Holiday Season

(BOWIE, Md.) – It’s the most wonderful time of the year, with the Bowie State University Gospel Choir set to stage its annual winter concert on Dec. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Dionne Warwick Theater of the Fine and Performing Arts Center. The Urban Nation Choir, under the direction of Rickey Payton, will also perform. 

Gospel Choir Director Latonya Wrenn is eager to set the tone for the holiday season and invites all generations and ages to come enjoy a performance that will entertain and lift the spirits of all who attend. 

“We want people to come and be inspired, uplifted and empowered for the holiday season,” said Wrenn. “We want people to come and bring a friend. It’s for the whole family to enjoy.” 

The concert is open to the public and free of charge, but tickets are required.
