For Fifth Straight Season, North Carolina A&T State Claims the MEAC Bowling Regular Season Crown

NORFOLK, Va. – North Carolina A&T State has won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) women’s bowling regular season title for the fifth consecutive season.
After going 5-2 at the MEAC #2 meet, the Aggies finished the regular season with an overall 12-2 mark in MEAC play.
N.C. A&T State totaled 14,351 total pins between the MEAC #1 and #2 meets with an average per game of 1,025.07 points per match.
At the MEAC #1, N.C. A&T State went 7-0 in the baker format games with a total pinfall of 7,107 pins, while tallying 7,244 pins in the traditional format games at the MEAC #2 meet.
The Aggies are led by MEAC Preseason Player of the Year Maya Avilez and rookie standouts Victorya White and Jasmine Hall.
N.C. A&T State got off to a rocky start at the MEAC #2 meet falling to Morgan State by a margin of 28 pins, 965-937, however, the Aggies recovered to win five consecutive games, including wins over nationally ranked No. 21 Delaware State and No. 17 UAB. The Aggies dropped the last match of the weekend against the reigning MEAC Champions, No. 18 Maryland Eastern Shore, by another narrow margin of 26 pins (1048-1022).
The 2025 MEAC Bowling Championship tournament will be held at Buffaloe Lanes North in Raleigh, N.C. from March 21-23.
