Coppin State Men’s and Women’s Cross Country
TOWSON, Md. – Asa Francis finished fourth overall to lead the Coppin State men’s cross country team to a team title at the Coach Caslin Classic, hosted by Goucher College on Friday afternoon.
On the women’s side, the Eagles took third of four full teams with Halutie Hor pacing the squad.

North Carolina Central Men’s and Women’s Cross Country
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In back-to-back weeks, North Carolina Central University freshman Meshack Kuyo won the men’s 8K race, this time at the Royals Challenge hosted by Queens University at the McAlpine Creek Park.
On the women’s side, the Eagles had five runners compete. Sophomore Alitza Dennard ran a new personal record with a time of 18:54.92. Her previous PR was on the same course when she competed as a freshman at Campbell University (19:01.8).

South Carolina State Men’s and Women’s Cross Country
Hardeeville, S.C. – The Howard Bison competed at the annual Sand Shark Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Jiana Hibbler placed 58th in the women’s 5k with a time of 22:50.8
Kameron Sutton led the way for the Bulldogs in the men’s 8k event, clocking in at 2:12.52
Morgan State State Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country
Newark, NJ. — Morgan State senior men’s cross country runner Perry Bennett led the Bears Saturday morning at the NJIT Highlander Challenge in Newark, New Jersey. Bennett placed 25th with a time of 26:54.3 on the 8k course.
On the women’s side, Morgan State senior women’s cross country runner Abigail Fisher led the Lady Bears at the NJIT Highlander Challenge in Newark, New Jersey.
Fisher placed 18th with a personal best time of 19:34.5 on the 5k course.

Maryland Eastern Shore Men and Women’s Cross-Country
Newark, NJ. — The Hawks men’s and women’s cross-country teams traveled to Newark, New Jersey, to compete in the NJIT Highlander Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 12. The men’s team finished their 8k race in 11th place with a total of 293 points. The women’s team completed the 5k race in 1:46:28, earning 284 team points and an 11th place finish.
Jalen Ridgeway placed 5h in the men’s 8k with a time of 25:42.1
Rebecca Jepngtich also secured 5th place in the women’s 5k, finishing in 18:38.3.
Shenell Simms crossed the finish line with a time of 20:33.1 for the women.
