BALTIMORE, Md. – Senior guard Will Thomas put on an outstanding performance shooting 80 percent from the field and was perfect beyond the three-point arch and at the charity stripe en route to scoring 32 points for the Bears.
Morgan State defeated Cheyney 124-57 to imrpove to 5-6 on the season. Every player that entered the game for the Bears scored against the Wolves.
Joining Thomas in double figures were Rob Lawson (18), Daniel Akitoby (11/10 reb.) and Marland Harris (10).
Wagner (NEC) def. Coppin State – 65-52
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – All eight players who entered the game for the Eagles scored, but the Coppin State men’s basketball team fell at Wagner, 65-52, on Wednesday night at Spiro Athletic Center. The Eagles fell to 0-10 on the season while the Seahawks evened their record at 4-4.
Checking the Box Score
- Julius Ellerbe led Coppin with 11 points while Jonathan Dunn was the only other Eagles player in double figures with ten points. Ellerbe hit 6-of-8 free throws and Dunn made 4-of-6 from the floor and both of his free throws.
- Toby Nnadozie and Camaren Sparrow had six points apiece, followed by Khali Horton, Peter Oduro and Cam’Ron Brown five points piece each and Zahree Harrison with four.
- Nnadozie was credited with a team-high five rebounds and added two steals while Sparrow had three swipes.
