Students Encouraged to Meet with Executives

(BOWIE, Md.) – Executives from MLB Network, the production arm of Major League Baseball, will visit the Bowie State campus Wednesday, March 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Fine and Performing Arts Center to speak to students about the company and conduct interviews with individuals interested in pursuing a career with the broadcasting organization. 

“We’re coming to Bowie State University to speak with students about working at MLB in a variety production jobs,” said Will Cope, vice president of production and content strategy for MLB Network. “There is a tremendous amount of editing and production associated with games being seen on the various platforms and we need competent individuals ready for the challenge.”

In addition to Cope, Dan Krieg, a supervising producer and Zachary Lecky, a segment producer, will be at Bowie State to speak with students. 

“I want to conduct one-on-one interviews with students and I’m prepared to stay on campus until 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. to speak to everyone who is serious about working for MLB Network,” said Cope.
