North Carolina Central’s J’Mari Taylor has been selected as the HBCU+ National Player of the Week for FCS college football games in Week 12 this past weekend.

Taylor produced the second-most yards from scrimmage (284) in a 2024 FCS game and scored three second-half touchdowns as North Carolina Central defeated Howard 26-3 in the MEAC. He carried the ball 24 times for a career-high 206 yards, scoring from 61, 18 and 40 yards out. He also caught six passes for 78 yards.
