NORFOLK, Va. – Howard volleyball keeps the streak alive with a 3-2 win Wednesday night over UMBC at Burr gymnasium.
Howard def. UMBC 3-2 (23-25, 8-25, 25-19, 27-25, 15-13)
The victory marks the first win over UMBC since 2018 and fourth overall win against the Retrievers. The matchup now serves as the longest between the two DMV teams in history.
Rya McKinnon led the Bison with 18 kills, three aces, and 10 digs, while Dami Awojobi contributed 11 kills, four blocks, and 14 digs. Cimone Woodard anchored the defense with seven blocks, and Leah Reeves facilitated the offense with 50 assists on the evening.
